Location

It is a picturesque village on the southern side of Paros, featuring lush vegetation, running waters, and beautiful beaches. It is located 22 km from Parikia and 15 km from Paros Airport. Dryos (known as Porto Trio in the medieval era) played an important role in the history of Paros, particularly during the time of Ottoman rule. Despite its tourist development, it maintains a sweet serenity and is ideal for pleasant strolls. Of great interest are the ancient ship sheds (grooves carved into the rocks of the beach), which were used for hauling and protecting ships.

Dryos

West of Dryos, at the location Pyrgaki, a proto-Cycladic cemetery from the 2nd millennium BC was discovered. Inland, on an elevation (300 meters), lies the Monastery of Saint George, showcasing Cycladic architecture. Nearby is the Cave of Demons, featuring stalactites, stalagmites, and traces of habitation from prehistoric times, though it remains undeveloped. Above Dryos lies a small, picturesque settlement called Aspro Chorio.

Some of them are, to the south, the famous beach of Lolandonis, a nice sandy beach, with shallow turquoise waters and big tamarisk trees and to the north, you will find the sandy beach of Chrysis Aktis, the largest beach of Paros, it is a real paradise for them who love the sea and water sports. Above Drios beach you will also find taverns for food with a beautiful view as well as a bar with rock music.

A notable celebration for Dryos is the festival of Saint John on May 8 and the feast of Myrtidiotissa on September 26.
